Dr. Evelyn Bowden received her undergraduate degree in biology from Wittenberg University in 1996. She then entered the corporate world where she started taking steps on the path that would eventually lead her to The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2009. While having a love for both companion animal medicine as well as the health and welfare of farm animals, she started her career working at a rural mixed animal practice for three years. Dr. Bowden then had a vision of starting her own veterinary practice, which became a reality when she and Dr. West opened Health & Harmony Animal Hospital in October of 2012. Their vision was to create a community-focused veterinary hospital with a welcoming and calm environment that nurtures open communication with clients and optimal comfort for the patients. 10 years later, Dr. Bowden is forever grateful to her clients for embracing their vision and entrusting their furry family members to our care!
Dr. Bowden shares her life with her animal-loving husband, Chuck, their dog (Josie) and 3 cats (Buddy, Pete, Birdie). They have also been the proud parents of two rescue Doberman pinchers (Tanner and Loki) along with cats (Bakey, Pixi and Willie) who will forever remain in their hearts. She has a profound love for family and always makes time for friends and good food. She enjoys working out, taking Josie for long walks, and she and Chuck head down to Key West to recharge once a year.
